The Feral Widow Society — Bailey’s Story

Some stories begin in light.
Others are shaped in the dark and slowly find their way toward something brighter.
Bailey’s story is one of those — real, raw, and deeply human.

In 2022, Bailey’s world changed in an instant. She lost her husband in a motorcycle accident while she was four months pregnant with their third child. Grief arrived all at once, and life became something she had to navigate moment by moment, breath by breath.

But in the middle of that unimaginable pain, something unexpected surfaced: a sense of humor that was dark, unfiltered, and healing in its own way. Bailey realized she wasn’t alone — so many grievers find comfort in laughter that others might not fully understand. Sometimes, it’s the only thing that keeps you standing when everything else feels impossibly heavy.

As an artist, Bailey leaned into the one place that still felt like home: creating. Through paint, texture, color, and sometimes outright chaos, she began finding beauty again — not by avoiding the pain, but by moving through it. That spark slowly grew into Feral Widow Society, a name that holds the honesty, grit, and resilience woven through her journey.

Today, Bailey brings that same heart into everything she touches. She hosts paint parties that remind people they can make something beautiful even when life feels messy.
She dreams of releasing prints of her original pieces, each one carrying its own emotional landscape. She collaborates with other small businesses, using art as a way to build community and connection.

One of her recent favorites was a collaboration with a local sourdough baker — creating a custom door sign for their home-based bakery. It blended story, artistry, and purpose in a way that felt perfectly aligned with who she is: someone who finds meaning in lifting up others while creating something that feels deeply personal.

She also pours her energy into meaningful commissioned pieces, helping people honor life, love, loss, and all the in-between moments that shape who they are.

Feral Widow Society is Bailey’s reclamation — a reminder that grief can be wild and unruly, but it can also spark connection, creativity, and unexpected strength.

Each design carries a blend of humor, vulnerability, and raw humanity. It’s for those who have walked through loss and somehow found themselves laughing in the middle of it. For those rebuilding piece by piece. For those offering themselves grace along the way.

We’re honored to hold space for Bailey’s work and the story behind it — a story of resilience, connection, and the courage to create a life that still holds beauty.
